At Bellaminas Teddy Bears, each figure begins as an idea at our family workbench.
We carefully select the wood, often from our own forest, and look at the grain, structure and strength before we start. No two pieces of wood are the same, which is why each teddy bear has its own unique expression.

The design ideas often stem from Almina and Isabella's homeschooling in crafts and design , where they learn about materials, shapes and colors.
The parents are responsible for the actual manufacturing with the large tools, and the girls spend 2-3 hours a week designing and assembling.

In the end, each teddy bear gets its own personality, some with smiles, others with small quirky details that arise during the process.

We believe that craftsmanship takes time and that the small variations make each figure unique.
With us you don't get a mass-produced product, but a piece of Danish family craftsmanship , created with love, learning and thoughtfulness from start to finish .

Most of the teddy bears are made by the parents when it comes to the heavy craft work, while the designs are developed from Almina and Isabella's teaching projects in craft and design .

Frequently Asked Questions

Almina and Isabella design the teddy bears. Dad does the cutting with the chainsaw and the miter saw, but the girls do the design and assembly themselves, and of course under supervision when using tools.

Bellamina's teddy bears are handmade from solid larch wood and are not treated with chemicals.
Therefore, over time it will develop small cracks , which is a natural process. We call it Patina.
To preserve the look, we recommend storing outdoors or in a room with changing humidity.

The teddy bear can last a really long time if you take good care of it.
It's hard to say exactly how long, but make sure it's left out until it's completely dry and then you can treat it with either wood oil or something else.

You must treat your teddy bear well.

But, if you want it to last a long time, you must make sure it is completely dry before you apply, for example, wood oil or varnish.

No, there are no chemicals used when the girls make the teddy bears.
Therefore, small cracks and color changes may also occur when the wood dries and is affected by sun, rain and frost.

The answer is yes.
Even though the girls are really talented and can do the entire process themselves, there is always an adult present when we make the teddy bears.

Dad is in charge of the chainsaw and the entire process of cutting the different slices for the teddy bears.

The girls design the different teddy bears from the wooden discs and then they are assembled with nails and screws.

When they nail and screw, there is always an adult helping.

For teddy bears without personal branding, you have a 14-day right of return if it is in the same condition as when you received it.
You must pay for the return yourself, and you must write to us at info@bellaminasbamser.dk to arrange the return.

If you have purchased a teddy bear with personal engraving, unfortunately there is no possibility of return.

Yes, we will send the teddy bear to you much sooner. We use GLS as a carrier and deliver to all of Denmark.

It's probably just a little blue splinter. It can be removed with a stiff brush, it's not dangerous for your teddy bear.

In the unlikely event that you have become a little tired of your teddy bear and want to get rid of it, you can simply throw it away.

Only natural, untreated wood materials are used.
4-7 screws and 12-20 nails have been used.
