A wish and a fallen tree turned into a great idea

Our names are Almina and Isabella, and we are twins.
As part of our homeschooling, we learn about crafts, nature, creativity and economics – and that's how Bellamina's Teddy Bears were born.

It all started when we received a riding camp as a gift from our aunt Kirsten in the summer of 2024. The experience was fantastic, and we dreamed of going again.
To understand how to save and create value, our parents encouraged us to find a creative way to learn about money and work towards our goals .

Why wooden teddy bears?

THE YEAR BEFORE

The year before, in 2024, we made some wooden teddy bears for the garden for fun. Many who saw them said they were so cute that they wanted one themselves.
Shortly after, a large larch tree fell in our forest, and we asked the forester if we could use some of the wood for our projects – and we were allowed to.
So the adventure began of learning how to work with wood, shape figures, and use tools safely (of course under Dad's supervision – he controls the chainsaw and the dangerous tools! ).

A family community and a learning journey

It makes us happy that many people like our teddy bears – but even more important is everything we learn along the way:

  • about nature and materials,
  • about being creative and thinking for yourself,
  • about cooperation and family,
  • and about understanding how craftsmanship, economics and dreams are connected.

Bellamina's Teddy Bears are not just about wooden figures – they are about learning, creating and having fun together as a family.

There are different sizes

Mini

Is that cute little teddy bear that decorates everywhere?

Small

The charming teddy bear is really cute and goes well with a medium and large teddy bear, so you can make a little family.

Between

Medium teddy bear is good if you want to write a single text on it. It is still cute and charming.

Great

The large teddy bear is the original size. It is not too big to be nice and cute.

We reached our goal and arrived at the Riding School.

It was absolutely amazing.

It was absolutely amazing!
We reached our goal of saving up for the riding camp, which was held in July 2025.
It was a huge experience to be with the horses again at Mia Lykke Nielsen , and we are so grateful to all of you who bought one of the teddy bears our parents sold – that made it possible! 💛

Now we have already started dreaming about the next riding camp and are continuing to work on new ideas in teaching.

So what now?

We continue to design and make wooden teddy bears as part of our homeschooling.
It has proven to be a fantastic way to learn – about crafts, creativity, planning and finances .

We continue to give the teddy bears we make in class to our parents , who are responsible for production and sales through their webshop.
We receive royalties for our design ideas , and we use that to learn about money, accounting and savings – for example, for future riding camps.

New ideas and projects

We have expanded our creative universe with new figures and building sets – for example, Rudolf for Christmas – and we have many more ideas on the way.
It's all part of our learning, where we test how design becomes reality.

And as something very special, we have been allowed to be part of Løvens Hule Junior !
It was both fun and educational to talk about our project and show how we learn through creativity and family crafts.
The broadcast was broadcast on August 16, 2025 , it was an amazing experience 🦁
